Description
Tondo is the piece through which many discover the atelier: a travertine side table on a pedestal base, hand-turned from a single block of natural stone. The cylindrical stem opens into a round top of exact proportion — enough for the lamp and the book, contained enough to fit wherever it is needed. The honed, filled surface is practical and warm; the travertine veining, different on every example, gives it that mineral movement no manufactured material achieves. Beside the sofa, as a nightstand or between two armchairs, it works alone or in pairs. Handmade to order with a 60–90 day lead time, it travels in a protective timber crate across Europe. Small in size. Permanent by vocation.
