Pedestals
A travertine pedestal does something very simple and very hard: it elevates.

Torre Pedestal — Travertine
from €1,590
A sculpture, a vase, a plant, nothing at all — on a natural stone column, any object gains the space it deserves, and so does emptiness. These are the quietest pieces in our collection and the most versatile: columns carved in solid travertine, heights designed for corners, entryways, fireplaces and galleries. Interior designers use them in pairs and trios at staggered heights; collectors, as the definitive base for the piece that matters. We carve every stone pedestal by hand from a single block — no joints, no veneers — so the veining runs uninterrupted from top to bottom. The honed finish leaves the stone matte and calm; the weight, between 70 and 100 kilos, guarantees absolute stability without fixings. Like the rest of the collection, each piece is handmade to order with a 60–90 day lead time, and custom dimensions are the rule rather than the exception: tell us what you want to elevate, and to what height. The stone does the rest.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much weight can a travertine pedestal hold?
Far more than you will ever place on it: solid stone works in compression, and a 30 × 30 cm pedestal carries hundreds of kilos without flinching. The practical limit is the stability of the object, not the strength of the stone.
Can I order a pedestal at an exact height?
Yes — it is the norm. We carve to order from the block, so height, section and finish are defined with you. Lead time stays at 60–90 days for standard and most custom dimensions.
Are they suitable for outdoor use, e.g. a garden?
On porches and covered areas, yes. Fully exposed, travertine suffers from frost and acidic rain; for outdoor projects, ask us and we will recommend the right stone and sealant.
Is every pedestal genuinely unique?
Yes. Each one comes from a different block, with its own veining and porosity. For pairs and trios we select kindred blocks so they harmonise without being identical — harmony, not cloning.
