Description
There are stones you choose and stones that choose. Calacatta Viola, with its ivory ground and plum, wine-dark veining, belongs to the latter: no designer draws something like this — it is found in the block, or not at all. Viola is our console for that marble: a deliberately calm silhouette of clean planes that lets the stone speak without interruption. The polished finish deepens the veining and intensifies the colour contrast. Each console is hand-carved to order in 60–90 days, and before cutting we send photographs of the selected block for your approval: the veining you approve is the veining you receive. Care
Polished marble asks for care: soft cloth, neutral soap, nothing acidic ever. Always dry the surface and use felt pads under anything that could scratch. Re-seal every 12 months.

Calacatta Viola is denser than travertine, yet its polished finish and plum veining stay sensitive to acids like wine or lemon. Seal it on arrival, blot spills immediately and reseal yearly to preserve the colour.
Travertine vs marble: the differencesHow is an around 140 kg marble console with vertical veining delivered to my home?
It arrives well crated at your home in a bespoke timber crate. Its around 140 kg and the upright run of the veining require handling in a controlled position; it is never moved lying flat, to avoid stressing the marble. We do not offer an installation service, so to move it into place we recommend a second person and clear access.
Can I order the Viola marble console in another size or marble?
Yes. Each Viola is carved from one block, adapting length, depth and height to your wall and selecting the vein layout. Consoles are our most tailored family; as Calacatta Viola is unique, we reserve the block with you. Lead time 60 to 90 days.
